THE FUNGUS
The fungus is a microorganism that forms in air conditioning systems causing allergies, asthma and "opportunistic diseases".
They grow in the presence of food or moisture and there are different types of fungi.
Aspergillus (yeasts)
Stachybotrys (black mold)
Penicillium
In HVAC systems they are found in coils and wet filter media.
