Ultraviolet light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum with a certain wavelength, there are several sub-classes such as UV-A (ultraviolet type A) UV-B and UV-C. The class of light used as a germicide type is the UVC, the wavelength with which the UVC works is between 220 and 300 nanometers, its culminating effectiveness is at 254 nm.
